BSB51107 – Diploma of Management

The Diploma of Management program provides the core leadership competencies required by contemporary managers. It is particularly appropriate for those with operational or technical backgrounds who now find themselves managing others. The Diploma of Management provides an excellent induction module for newly promoted staff, as well as a valuable resource for the more experienced manager.

Blending theory with practice, this program focuses on workplace learning to ensure its relevance to your particular situation and business

Who should attend?
Employees with some supervisory level experience. Example roles include:

Entry Requirements

There are no formal prerequisites for this qualification.

Workshops

Workshops are an alternative to the flexible learning program and provide interactive and focused sessions on how to apply all facets of management to practical situations. There is a two-day block to get you started.  The remainder of the assessments can be done at your own pace, generally completed over a twelve month period.

Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL)

RPL is available for each Unit of Competency, and is based on relevant workplace experience, formal training, and/or other expertise. To apply for RPL, please contact our office on 1800 891 662 to discuss your RPL options.

Government Funding and Incentives

AREEA will work with you to identify the most appropriate government funding available for your organisation.

Course Outline

The course workshops address the Units of Competency below as identified in the national Business Services training package. All eight units must be successfully completed to attain the qualification in Diploma of Management.

  • BSBMGT502B Manage people performance
  • BSBWOR502B Ensure team effectiveness
  • BSBPMG522A Undertake project work (elective option – can replace any of the other standard eight units listed above)
Assessment Methods

This program requires participants to undertake extensive self-directed learning (including workplace projects) in order to successfully complete the course.

Participants should allow a minimum of 6 – 8 hours per week to complete the self-directed learning and assessment tasks in a timely manner.

Cost

AREEA Member – $3,850 inc. GST

Non AREEA Member – $4,427 inc. GST
