Performance Management

Performance management is not an event, but rather an ongoing, cyclic process that develops the needs and aspirations of employees, linking these with strategic organisational goals to improve organisational performance. Often misunderstood, effective performance management leads to a more talented, engaged, productive workforce.
This workshop focuses on managing and supporting individual performance within an organisation. The course includes topics such as: what is performance management, how performance is monitored and managed, what impacts on individual performance, providing feedback and establishing learning development plans.
Target Audience
This workshop is recommended for anyone with people management responsibilities. It is suitable for leading hands up through to managers and employers. Roles include:

Learning Outcomes
- Course completion will develop the knowledge and skills to:
- Understand and describe the concept of ‘performance management’
- Explain how performance management relates to organisational goals and plans
- Develop the skills necessary to prepare for and carry out effective performance management processes including managing poor performance and rewarding good performance
- Identify the factors that impact on individual performance
- Effectively monitor performance
- Effectively provide feedback – both positive and constructive
