BSB41013 Certificate IV in Human Resources Block 3

The Certificate IV in Human Resources is designed for people who want to develop practical human resource skills as line managers, administrators or human resource officers. The program is recognised as the entry-level certification for employment as a HR officer or for undertaking part of the HR function.

Most organisations now adopt an approach that sees HR responsibilities devolved to unit managers, meaning that HR capability now ranks as a core skill among managers and supervisors at virtually every level.

  • Learn how to recruit and select the best talent for your organisation
  • Develop strategies to assist managers and staff in implementing performance management procedures
  • Learn about industrial relations legislation in Australia and the obligations your organisation has to their employees
  • Research, analyse and review information to assist the HR team in workforce planning and other related activities
  • Understand the importance of, and contribute to HR related networks
  • Prepare and write complex reports for management and other stakeholders
  • Understand that everyone is a customer and develop strategies to provide excellent service to all HR customers
  • Learn about workplace WHS and your responsibilities as a HR professional.

Entry Requirements

There are no formal prerequisites for this qualification.

Workshops

Workshops are an alternative to the flexible learning program and provide interactive and focused sessions on how to apply human resources knowledge to practical situations. There are three x 2-day blocks, conducted approximately every 8 -10 weeks over a twelve month period.

Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL)

RPL is available for each Unit of Competency, and is based on relevant workplace experience, formal training, and/or other expertise. To apply for RPL, please contact our office on 1800 891 662 to discuss your RPL options.

Government Funding and Incentives

AREEA will work with you to identify the most appropriate government funding available for your organisation.

Course Outline

The course workshops address the Units of Competency below as identified in the national Business Services training package. All ten units must be successfully completed to attain the qualification in Certificate IV in Human Resources.
